New Name and New Site

Hello everyone!
Here we are—with a brand new website and a brand new name! Yes, I’ve finally made a decision on this matter.
If you’ve been following me on social media, you probably know that after more than 10 years building only ukuleles, in 2023 I started making acoustic guitars again. Up until then, I had always worked under the name Antica Ukuleleria, but with the addition of this new instrument, the question of a more fitting name naturally came up.
At first, I decided to split the two identities: continuing to build ukuleles as Antica Ukuleleria, while branding my guitars as Chitarre Lessinia—a nod to the region where I live (Lessinia is the mountainous area surrounding Verona).
However, managing two sets of social media, two websites, two email accounts, etc., quickly proved to be too much for me. After a while, I realized it would be much more practical to bring everything together under one name.
So, for a short transition period, I adopted the name Antica – Creative Lutherie.
But that phase didn’t last long. Attending several lutherie festivals and exhibitions made something clear: I often found myself explaining the meaning behind such a unique name—especially here in Italy, where the word Antica (meaning ancient) doesn’t really reflect the modern instruments I’m building today.
So I’ve decided to create one single website under my own name: Marco Todeschini.
All the instruments I build will now be showcased here.
The ukuleles will still carry the good old name Antica Ukuleleria, while the guitars will simply be made by Marco Todeschini Luthier.
Simple, right? Took me only two years to figure it out—haha!
I hope you like the new site!
