UFOS – Ukulele From Outer Space
The UFOS is an electric ukulele with a bold design inspired by science fiction aesthetics. Built with a mix of handcraft techniques and CNC machining, it combines natural wood and semi-transparent plexiglas (PMMA) to create a striking visual contrast—organic meets synthetic, solid meets light.
While it aims to stand out, UFOS isn’t about flash for its own sake. The contrast between textures, the glow-through quality of the plexiglass, and a design that plays with full and open spaces all work together to create something visually interesting without being over-the-top. Each element is carefully considered to balance originality and coherence.

The UFOS electric ukulele features a high-quality passive undersaddle piezo pickup system, chosen for its reliability, clarity, and excellent resistance to feedback. Installed directly beneath the saddle, this sensor captures the natural attack and nuance of the strings without adding unwanted noise or interference.
Paired with the instrument’s solid-body construction, this system opens up wide possibilities for sonic experimentation. Whether you’re using distortion, modulation, or ambient effects, the clean signal and low-feedback design make the UFOS ideal for creative pedal setups and live performance.
The UFOS ukulele features semi-transparent PMMA that comes to life in natural light, softly filtering it to create a glowing, futuristic effect. Paired with solid wood, it adds contrast and depth to the design, enhancing the instrument’s sci-fi-inspired look.
The real story of UFOS
In 9781 BC, a mysterious light cut through the sky, and a massive vessel, the GarcsnevaR, silently descended to Earth. Aboard the ship were three ancient artificial intelligences, known as ReihtuL. These intelligences, SaiD, OtnaS, and SenuN, had traveled across the void from the distant planet AriedaM. Their mission was not to invade, but to create: to craft objects that could bridge the gap between their world and Earth, offering a gift for the future.
Using a blend of their advanced, translucent materials and Earth’s natural resources, the ReihtuL began shaping the first UFOS. These ukulelemorphic artifacts, shimmering with an otherworldly glow, were scattered across the land, hidden away, waiting silently for the day their true purpose would be revealed.
At present, we know of three variants of the UFOS, each bearing the genetic signature of the ancient ReihtuL that created it, though other variants may yet emerge in the future.
